Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 22, 2026

Toledo Water Conditioning (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website toledowater.com (the “Service”). We are a water treatment company located at 2806 Nebraska Ave, Toledo, OH 43607, serving homes and businesses across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan since 1947.

This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. Terms used in this policy have the same meaning as in our Terms and Conditions at toledowater.com/terms-and-conditions/.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you request a free water analysis, ask about pricing, schedule an appointment, or contact us, our forms ask for your name, phone number, email address, the type of project you have in mind, and the city the property is in. If you tell us about your water concerns, your water source, or your home’s plumbing, we collect that too.

If you go on to become a customer, we also collect what we need in order to do the work and keep your account:

  • Your service address, and your delivery address if it is different
  • Water test results for your property, including your water source and what the test found
  • The equipment installed at your property, and its service and maintenance history
  • Delivery, refill, and salt purchase history
  • Billing information. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Service, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, how long you spend on each page, device identifiers, and similar diagnostic data.

Cookies and tracking. We use cookies and similar technologies, including tags, beacons, and scripts, to operate the site, remember your preferences, keep the site secure, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is being set. If you block cookies, some parts of the Service may not work properly.

We do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals. You can enable or disable Do Not Track in your browser’s settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your request for a free water analysis, a quote, or an appointment.
  • Schedule and perform installation, service, delivery, and refill.
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Provide customer support and answer your questions.
  • Send you service updates, appointment reminders, and information about changes to the Service.
  • Send you newsletters, promotions, and information about products or services similar to those you have purchased or asked about.
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical problems, fraud, or misuse.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

Phone Calls and Text Messages

When you give us your phone number, we use it to contact you about your request, your appointment, your delivery, or your account, by phone or by text message. We use a customer messaging platform to send and receive those calls and messages, and that platform processes your number and the message content on our behalf.

Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

Your Marketing Choices

You can stop marketing contact at any time, on any channel:

  • Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send.
  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any text.
  • Phone calls. Tell us on the call, or email sales@toledowater.com, or call (419) 536-7936.

We will still send you messages related to services you have requested, such as appointment reminders, delivery notices, and billing.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us operate the business, including website hosting, email delivery, our customer records and messaging platform, analytics, scheduling, and payment processing. They may access your information only to perform work on our behalf and are required not to use it for anything else.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or a valid request from a public authority, to protect our rights or property, to investigate possible wrongdoing connected to the Service, to protect the safety of our customers or the public, or to defend against legal liability.
  • Business transfers. If Toledo Water Conditioning is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Service, such as which pages are viewed and how long people stay. We also use Meta advertising tools, which place a small piece of code on the Service so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the site. These tools use cookies and similar identifiers, and the information they collect is processed by Google and by Meta under their own privacy policies. The controls below let you limit this.

  • Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google’s privacy practices are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google ad personalization. You can review and turn off ad personalization in Google’s My Ad Center at https://myadcenter.google.com/.
  • Meta. Meta’s privacy policy, including how to control the ads you see, is at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/. Ad preferences can also be managed in the settings of your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • Your browser and your device. Both have their own settings for cookies and for interest based advertising. Controls you set in a browser, including the Google Analytics add-on above, apply only to that browser, so they need setting again on each browser and each device.

Opting out stops personalized advertising. It does not stop advertising altogether, and it does not delete information already collected.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing service to you, meeting our legal and tax obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.

Records tied to installed equipment, including water test results, installation details, warranty, and service history, are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to support that equipment. Usage data is generally kept for a shorter period, unless we need it longer to improve security or functionality, or the law requires it.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep.
  • Stop sending you marketing communications.
  • Restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
  • Provide a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where we relied on it.

To make a request, email sales@toledowater.com. We may need to verify your identity first. Some information must be retained where the law requires it, or where it is tied to equipment we installed and continue to service.

If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your personal information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, because you have given permission, because it serves our legitimate business interests without overriding your rights, or because the law requires it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data Storage and Transfer

Toledo Water Conditioning operates in the United States, from Toledo, Ohio, and your information is stored and processed here. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide us with information, you understand that it will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. That said, no method of transmitting or storing data electronically is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

The Service may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with information.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and our forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we will provide notice by email or through a prominent notice on the Service before the changes take effect. Changes take effect once posted. Please review this page periodically.
